Welcome to the spring update for nxthdr. As mentioned in the winter update, I’m continuing with quarterly posts to share progress. This season has seen a lot of foundational work across the board, focusing on improving our software components, enhancing observability, and streamlining infrastructure.

Here are the slides from a presentation I gave to the Dioptra research group. The audience was primarily interested in an overview of the nxthdr project, with a particular focus on the design of the probing pipeline, saimiris.

In this earlier post, I talked about the origins of the nxthdr and as215011 projects, laying the groundwork for what I focused on throughout 2024. Moving into 2025, I plan to share updates more regularly–aiming for quarterly posts at the end of each season. This is the winter update.

nxthdr and as215011 are celebrating their first new year! 🎉 This year, I plan to begin sharing blog posts to provide updates on the project, infrastructure changes, software development, and more. However, before diving into those exciting topics, now seems like the perfect opportunity to reflect on the what has been done since the beginning of the project.
